Red Zellernut Cob nut

Red Zellernut is a really striking tree which bears pink catkins in late winter and early spring that attract early pollinators, and produces round, medium-sized, red to purple filbert nuts in a smooth hard wooden shell, which can be eaten fresh or used in baking and desserts. This superb variety is self-sterile so requires a pollinating partner.
