Blueberry Spartan is an early-ripening variety. Recommended even for beginners. Originally developed in 1956.

The first fruits are large, the later ones medium-sized. Their shape is slightly flattened at the stem and slightly elongated at the calyx. The skin is navy blue with a strong blue bloom and is quite soft, making them difficult to transport and store. The flavor is sweet-wine, aromatic, and exceptionally tasty. This is a high-yielding variety (~8 kg/bush). The fruit grows in rather small, loose clusters. Harvest maturity occurs in mid-July.
