Canary Yellow Cherry NEW

Canary yellow cherry is a Polish variety whose name perfectly reflects the character of its fruit. The tree tends to grow moderately to vigorously, developing a loose, conical crown over time. In older trees, the crown becomes slightly more spreading, making harvesting easier.

Most cherry varieties begin bearing fruit three to four years after planting, and the canary cherry is no exception. However, what sets this variety apart is its consistent and abundant yields from season to season. Many of our customers confirm that once fully mature, the tree can produce a surprising amount of fruit.

Fruit

Canary cherry fruits are heart-shaped, typical of most cherry varieties. Their distinguishing feature is, of course, their color – intense yellow, without the red blush often seen in other yellow varieties. The skin is shiny, and the fruit itself typically weighs around 5 grams.

The flesh is also light yellow. It is delicate, yet firm and very juicy. The flavor is dominated by sweetness with honey notes, making these fruits perfect for direct consumption. For many consumers, it is this unique flavor, combined with their unusual color, that makes canary cherries so appealing.

Harvest occurs in mid-June.
