The Oneida plum is a variety native to the United States.
The plums are large, weighing approximately 45-55g per plum. They are broadly oval in shape. The skin is dark purple, covered with a waxy coating. The flesh is white-yellow or yellow-green, sweet and sour, juicy, and very tasty, with an easily removable pit. They taste delicious raw. They can also be used for jams, compotes, and drying. Harvest maturity is in early October. The first fruit takes a long time to appear after planting (about three years). The yield is moderately abundant and annual
