€28.00

The Nashi (Asian Pear) Tree is a tree that produces apple/pearfruits. The tree is similar to a pear tree, with larger leaves. The fruit, quite large, is similar to an apple, rounded and flattened, with a pear flavour. The skin is bronzed, the flesh is very refreshing, fragrant, and juicy. The harvest takes place in September. The fruits can be stored in a cool place (in the cellar or in the refrigerator) until January. The Nashi Pear Tree 'Shinsui' is one of the best varieties of nashi, although moderately productive. It is not self-fertile and needs to be planted near other pear trees or nashis. It is resistant to diseases and is not afraid of the cold.
