Pears are large, averaging 180 grams, though often up to 200 grams. They have a pear-shaped, egg-shaped shape. The outer skin is green with a red blush. Beneath it lies creamy flesh – very juicy, sweet, with a spicy aroma, and melting in the mouth. Pears are very popular eaten raw. They are also excellent for compotes and preserves. Harvest maturity begins in the second half of August .
